Hey, Steve! In response to your inquiry about lubing the Prestolite distributor, I’m including a pic spanning 1 column each from pp. 8-54 & 8-55 (Ignition System-Electrical) of the ’71 Dodge Chassis Service Manual. Starting at the bottom of p 8-54 “Distributor Lubrication,” it states the complete info. The specific answer to your inquiry is item #1.”Add 3 drops of SAE 10W oil in the oiler on outside of distributor base, (Prestolite only)” I hope that this helps the cause!
