Thanks for the compliments guys, I really do appreciate it! I'm waiting on my new DA to arrive to start wetsanding, but meanwhile, the front suspension is done!
Jim, yes. Torsion bar adjuster arms have an orange blop on the left and a blue one on the right. It's the first time I've seen the different colors. Other cars had the same colors.
K-Frame is stripped and as I've found on numerous ones, under the steering box was a giant yellow paint swipe. On the idler arm mount is a green swipe. I sometimes find the green on the engine mount bracket that's welded to the frame but nothing on this one.
For the lower control arms, I replicated the dip in a cosmoline bucket by tapping off the dip line then spraying a heavy dose of Krylon battery protector which gave me the drips and runs I was looking for. Uppers are natural with a slight coat of the stuff.
It's all ready to go back together as soon as I get the k-frame painted later today and then off the rotisserie it comes for the last time! Woohoo!
