In parts book parlance you need to look for Chevy or Nova with 3-speed floor shift. MC1 was only available in floor shift. Also use a parts book as close to model year as possible....

The 1969 & 1970 Nova 350 and 396 could only have the MC1 Special 3-Speed (E.g. the HD Muncie 3-Speed). They wouldn't have the Saginaw 3-Speed referenced in the AIM.
