on my protecto plate where it states the carburator there is a c for carter.is that normal i have seen r and h.this is for a 1970 L48 nova ss.

http://www.camaros.org/carb.shtml Read this.There was a shortage and Carter built some Q-jets for Rochester. Also, Carter made carbs for the six banger.
