protecto plate

on my protecto plate where it states the carburator there is a c for carter.is that normal i have seen r and h.this is for a 1970 L48 nova ss.

did gm use carter carbs. for 1970.any feed back appreciated.thanks marc.

http://www.camaros.org/carb.shtml Read this.There was a shortage and Carter built some Q-jets for Rochester. Also, Carter made carbs for the six banger.

My 69 Camaro SS L48 had the same thing on the Protecto plate and a Carter built Quadrajet
