I found a 12 bolt locally. I can't figure out what the codes on the housing match up to. I guessing it's out of a early Camaro. I can't figure it out from the web sites that I have found. I check out this site now and then and figured you guys would know. I'm a hot rodder and not a restoration type of person. I picked up on it because it had a real old Mr Gasket rear end cover on it.
OC 03 2 12 G2 is what I can see. Might be a 1 or I after the C. Leaf spring housing that measures right at 54 inches. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

No biggee! I've repaired rings gears just like that by building that tooth back up with some TIG welding and hand-grinding/profiling 'til it's like new! It's a lost art......and me......a lost artist.

I was thinking that it could be fixed if somebody really needed it.What the heck came from the factory with a 4.88 gear in it?I have seen some service replacemnts up to 5.13,but not factory.Maybe an option on a Z or L78?
