Yeah, I couldn't see anybody ordering this rear axle ratio with a hydraulic camshaft motor up front.

A Gibb piece maybe? Pump Machine Serivce in Quad can weld up gears for you if you ask them nicely. We have had them do a few for us.

Looks like it originally was QH (4.88 metallic), but that was corrected to a QC.
There's an extra date digit in there somehow......

My 67 camaro literature shows 4.88 was available with a SS 350, Z/28, and L-78. A friend of mine purchased a 68 SS396 L-78 from Rydell's with factory 4.88s.I have a 67 camaro housing that came to me with 4.88s and the proper carrier. I will check the code to see if it came that way from GM.
