Mr 70, So should I assume that ALL the L-78 Camaros built from January 1970 forward would have had the left hand pipe shown above. Another 70 Camaro assy page L78/A9 shows the "Hockey Stick" pipe, which contradicts the above.
I do not know of anyone having an ORIGINAL (born with) Smog System on there 70 Camaro L-78 to reference too. It seems that everyone having restored a 70 L-78 Camaro A.I.R. system has used the repop Hockey Stick tree or possibly survivor Chevelle or Nova hockey stick trees....... Thanks, Chuck

With only 600 1970 L78 Camaros made,it's a hard question to answer.
I would "think" the majority of the 1970 L78 Camaros received the LATER design tube, not the 1969 Early 1970 L78/LS6 Hockey stick design. Both of these Configurations have been reproduced. What is the revision date on those L78/A9 pages in your Ass. Manual?? |

GOOD LUCK Chuck,
It took me years to get (1) set of those clips for our dual snorkel LS-6 Chevelle. Would like another set myself. If I hear of any clips coming, I will let you know. The "MOF"

Not sure, but the assembly manual drawing of the driver side smog pipe tree looks like my 69 big block with A/C tree, which I got from Bill Hodel, for my 69 Camaro

This CLIP is extremely RARE, along with other SMOG parts that were tossed. Anybody have a good idea as to WHAT company could repop these.....

Chuck
Can you tell me the Part# that the assembly manual or anyother source states that this RARE TCS clip is? That looks VERY similar to a clip used on another chevy application. |

Chuck:
We'll make 'em for you. Not something we normally do, but we can make most anything. I need a sample of each or excellent photos and dimensions. Would want to do a handful or so of each. Let me know and I can ballpark a price. Dave |

You Deuce guys notice one of the few differences between the CTB/CTC engine's installed in the Z versus the Yenko in that pic?
