There was only one tag for LA cars - no early / late tag at that plant.

I'd be real curious on the partial VIN too (or a pic of the cowl tag). No need to pull anything other than the cowl vent grille. The CRG link that Jeff posted has the location info. Here's the pic: http://www.camaros.org/cowlvin.jpg
