I heard the 70 million dollar number being thrown around at MCACN and the math nerd in me was prompted to do some simple arithmetic. With 640 cars present the average value of them would need to be $109,375. That’s actually an interesting number because there were many cars north of that & many cars under that. It just might be accurate but it’s probably just a moot point anyway since the car failed to bring in that giant number and landed at half that lofty estimate. On a crazy side note, if you were to up the MCACN cars to 641 by including the Ferrari, they would all still fall short of the $142 million 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Ulenhaut Coupe which is probably the most beautiful car I’ve ever seen in my life!
