Re: Day 2 Yenko Stinger Picture
Since Rick likes talking facts, I have added some of my own. The Yenkostinger.org site historically has listed Yenko Stingers by YS-ID. The reason for this is to avoid confusion.
For instance, my Marina Blue Yenko Stinger's dealership paperwork lists the car as YS-103. The YS-ID actually issued was YS-107.
YS-103 tag was issued by Yenko to another car. There are a number of discrepancies like this. Rick's Stinger is not the only one. So the decision was made to list all of the Stingers by the YS-ID issued to the car.
Also, I am not disputing the fact that Rick's Stinger was one of the first ordered 100 COPO Corvairs. The website clearly shows this.
I also have no idea why Mark chimed in. If he was referring to me in his comment above, I have never represented myself as the sole authority on Stingers. What I have gathered on Yenko Stingers has been published on the web for everyone's pleasure. Practically everything I have on Stingers, with a few exceptions, is for public consumption. Nothing stored in boxes here. Also, just to set the record straight, I am generating no income from this site.
And Rick, as a final note, how I listed your car on the site has nothing to do with missing the "opportunity" to purchase your car 14 years ago. I believe I am over that now.
