Day 2 Yenko Stinger Picture

First owner bought a Stage 1 Stinger for the full factory GM warranty, and brought it home and immediately converted it into a Stage 3, and went racing. In 1967 this car was #3 in SCCA points, behind Donna Mae Mims, and Don Yenko. First owner had over 250+ victories in go-karts, before buying this Stinger and getting his National SCCA license. He later went on to race with James Garner. He was also a suspension guy for the Mobil 1 team. Car was raced from '66 thru '72.

Re: Day 2 Yenko Stinger Picture

My car is Yenko Stinger #YS100, that was tagged from Yenko Chevrolet as YS101. Mr. Ed is sour grapes as he could not lowball buy my car back in the year 2000. This is why he refuses to recognize it as YS100. His buddy Bob D. owns a Stinger with another YS101 tag on it, per their own admission. I have never personally viewed his YS101 tag. Yenko made mistakes like everyone knows. Many other cars were mis-tagged at Yenko Chevrolet.

Here is my original Yenko window sticker from 1966 : https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...444_835_1_480x

FYI, Mr. Ed has photos of all of my original paperwork dating from 1966, on YS100. There is no excuse for not being able to read and comprehend the original documents.

All stated here is 100% truth, and facts.

Yes, some folks want to establish themselves as " The Yenko Stinger Authority " and the only verifiable source for info. I have boxes of the stuff that has not been seen in the hobby.....yet.

Perhaps its just me, but I'm not really following here... Are you sharing the story of your car, airing a grievance, or....

I'm just posting to make me feel good.

If there were not posts deleted in another thread, it would be easier for you to follow along.

I guess you might need to ask someone else about the deleted posts?

Thanks for your concern though.

In a nutshell...... I'm sharing factual information about a Yenko.

Re: Day 2 Yenko Stinger Picture

Since Rick likes talking facts, I have added some of my own. The Yenkostinger.org site historically has listed Yenko Stingers by YS-ID. The reason for this is to avoid confusion.
For instance, my Marina Blue Yenko Stinger's dealership paperwork lists the car as YS-103. The YS-ID actually issued was YS-107.
YS-103 tag was issued by Yenko to another car. There are a number of discrepancies like this. Rick's Stinger is not the only one. So the decision was made to list all of the Stingers by the YS-ID issued to the car.

Also, I am not disputing the fact that Rick's Stinger was one of the first ordered 100 COPO Corvairs. The website clearly shows this.

I also have no idea why Mark chimed in. If he was referring to me in his comment above, I have never represented myself as the sole authority on Stingers. What I have gathered on Yenko Stingers has been published on the web for everyone's pleasure. Practically everything I have on Stingers, with a few exceptions, is for public consumption. Nothing stored in boxes here. Also, just to set the record straight, I am generating no income from this site.

And Rick, as a final note, how I listed your car on the site has nothing to do with missing the "opportunity" to purchase your car 14 years ago. I believe I am over that now.

So, the Stingers also suffered from notation errors? Yenko had notation errors as well as the dealers? That's not a surprise, and I agree - pick the most accurate data set and go with it. What's the issue?

Quote from YS100 "If there were not posts deleted in another thread, it would be easier for you to follow along.

I deleted your posts because you were shitting in someone elses thread. I explained it in that thread. If you still don't get how that doesn't fly here find another place to rant.
