Silver is as desirable as red if not more so... IMHO.

Does it have the tank sticker? Even a warranty replacement is no different that a replacement motor. Is the block casting number 3904351 or is it a 1968 or later casting number? Chances are good that it is a block later than the car.

I'd rather have a correctly dated correct casting number (proceeding the build date of the car) than a warranty replacement that's later than the car. The judging venues offer no grace or concessions for a warranty replacement. I don't mean to be harsh on this topic, but if you're looking to purchase this car, don't be swayed by any argument about a warranty replacement block being anything other than a replacement engine. |

under the drivers side female hood catch should be a rubber coated J-clip held in place with a 5/16ths recessed flanged hex head self tapping screw. Or if removed it would have the hole there K-66 cars had this which includes all 435's.

My '67 is a 400 hp and not a TI car, but it's pretty original 0n the firewall - are you talking about the J clip this area? There is a J clip lower on the firewall, but it secures the harness.
