battery tray...
The unit is made of hard plastic...the front edge of the battery holder cracked...pretty common scenario.

Battery Tray Replacement 2002 Camaro
The battery tray needs replacement in Karen's 2002 Camaro...
The tray is also part of the over flow for the cooling system...tank below.

Brake Valve..
That build date puts the valve under the master cylinder...early cars had them on the frame rail under the driver's door.
I can probably send a few photos of the correct set up for your car...let...
