If the car has been stored well in a warm dry garage? 1st thing I would do is remove the spark plugs and turn the motor by hand. If it turns over freely. Drain the oil and change the filter....

Eaton spring use the flat straps on the 2nd gen F body, They are very different from the first gen F body spring. I don't have a picture of the straps but a suspension picture may help.
