Special order colors available for 69 Chevy's??

In spring of 69 Buick offered a color called Fireglow Orange that isn't listed on paint chip charts.

Does anyone know if Chevy did something similar by offering a special order color, something you would have to stumble on in old factory literature?

Any GM color was availble as a special order... as a matter of fact SCW is restoring a nutmeg Nova...

Hi Tom,

Imagine seeing you here!!! I personally know of a '69 442 W-30 that was painted in Chevy Rally Green. I also know that currently Ford has DSO colors (Dealer Special Option). Only requirement for this is that they have an order for at least 5 of a certain color and pay the necessary dollars to do it. I would assume that the General had something going on like that for fleet and special orders back in the day. I will see if I can tap some of my resources for vintage colors to see if anything pops up!!!

Maybe I should be more specific as to what we're trying to do.
We are building a 69 COPO Chevelle for my brother, and we want to paint it a color you don't see very often, something that will stand out among a bunch of red,blue,black,silver car's.
Not looking for a bright color to stand out, something more subtle like a brown,champagne,gold, or????
Anyone have a picture of a Champagne 69 Chevelle?

That would look good.. Champagne is a 69 Camaro color... there was a post about a Champagne 69 COPO Camaro a week or so ago.

Champagne is also a 69 Buick color.
Most of the Camaro and Buick colors are the same except Camaro also had the bright colors - 71, 72, 79, & 76.

Buick called it Champagne Mist.
