nope, those look pretty wild thats for sure,
I have seen plenty of parts/bits of the numbers missing from a bad/loose casting but all the ones I have looked are spaced even and in a nice row. ![]() |

Have you tried tapping the casting number with a small hammer?
I ran into a situation similar to yours,and found a homemade raised casting number epoxied over a flat surface. |
