WTD: BBC HEAD ... part #: 3856206
I am looking for a single head, part #: 3856206
This is a BBC 65-66 oval port cylinder head. I have 1 cylinder head with a date code of H-65. Would like to find matching part number head; date code need not necessarily match. I may be interested in a pair if you have these. Would really prefer to find this in the California areas... Thanx!

Is that the part number or the casting number? I have a cast 702 head, oval port Jan '66.

I have a pair of 3856206 heads dated G275 and G285. The heads are complete with stock valves, springs, retainers, etc., and could be used as is. If you wanted, the heads could be disassembled for cleaning, but that would be your deal, not mine. I live just north of L.A., and I would want $650 for the pair. Let me know if you're interested.

Rats..
Stay away for a few days and all the action occurs. Would be interested in the local LA area heads; will need a complete history and info on what they have done to them. I missed that eBay auction...oh well!

Verne,
3872702 is a casting number - it was used on 1966 Chevys. The heads I have are 3852606 casting numbers, and they were the first oval port heads produced for big blocks. Let me know if they're what you're looking for. Marc

Sorry about calling your Verne - I misread the last post and thought the quote was yours. The 206 heads have been in storage in my garage for a long time. They've had new guides installed and a valve job at some point, and they were run for a while before being put into storage. Other than that, they're untouched. Marc
