The car sold at BJ was a Yenko sold Corvette. The Corvette was given to Michael Summers who drove the Best Photo sponsored Yenko '66 L72/M22 Corvette (1 of 15). It does not have the original motor but it is a tank sticker documented 435 car. There are hundreds of original photos of the two cars together since the prime sponsor was a photography company.

is this it??? http://car.solnew.com/2007/01/12/bar...enko-corvette/ [/ QUOTE ] Yep. That's it. As mentioned the car does have a re-stamped motor, but the History with this car is just fascinating. Here is the B-J link. Lot #1326 http://www.barrett-jackson.com/carli...LotNumber=1326 |

Was that car ever sold at Carlisle ? I recall one similar that was sold 3 times in one day at Carlisle, two guys from Canada were the final buyers that day.

Anybody know if that car spent some of its life in the Syracuse area? BEST was from Syracuse and I vividly remember a car from my youth that looked very similar.

The car was certainly not as fresh as when it was completed by Nabers Motors. It was owned by a collector in Dallas and he's the one that had it restored. His cars are always stunning and he's owned (and owns) some amazing stuff.

I was a bit disappointed in it's condition when I saw it in Phoenix in January. It looks like it has been driven, that's OK, but it was not at all crisp. Had blue streak radials on it for driving. |
