I have the following dated horns for sale. These are all the correct #279 and #280 horns for Chevelle only, with the correct bracket and angle. Price is $90/pair for the matched ones, or $35 each for the singles.
These are clean cores that have never been in road salt, so they will clean up nicely. A common problem with these is that the aluminum surface corrodes and the date codes are no longer legible. I have not tested these, but you can assume they will need to be rebuilt. Several members here have used The Horn Works ( www.classiccarhorns.com ) with excellent results. You can also buy rebuild kits from the Corvette restoration parts places for around $35. Matched Pairs: 9D1 & 9D2 (1st & 2nd week of April 1969) 9A3 & 9B2 (3rd week of Jan. & 2nd week of Feb 1969) Singles (these are all low notes): 7J2 7M1 8E5 8L1 Email me at [email protected] if you're interested. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
