If it was anything like my '73 Vega, it rusted out in 2 or 3 years. Worst car ever in terms of rust resistence.

Didn't most Vegas start rusting while they were still on the assembly line? LOL

I was in the check out line at the grocery store a while back, and the cashier asked what I'd been working on lately, and I said I'd been piddling with a Vega...she told me she owned 2 of them when new...the first one, her and her husband owned almost exactly a year to the day before it literally rusted in 2 and the floor pan hit the ground! Surprisingly, they bought another one, bit it lasted quite a bit longer...!

How many Yenko Vega's are accounted for? I know they made at least as many (if not more) of them than Yenko Deuces, but FAR fewer have survived... most likely due to rust.

Not sure if I've ever posted these before, but here are original photographs of the official "give away" of the Yenko Vega from the Group 7 Filters promotion. That's Donna Mae Mimms handing over the keys to the happy new owners.
