Does anyone have any reliable contacts within DHL who could help with some missing parts. Two identical boxes shipped from Arizona each containing two orange XT rims. One box arrives OK, the other taped and sealed but empty. All my shipper is getting is excuses, they were packed and inspected at a DHL office, their concern over their own liability leads them to blame the receiver (me). I have just bought a very expensive box of crushed newspaper. Not really a missing package issue, more like internal theft. Right now more time is being spent finding ways to let themselves off the hook than in looking for the parts. Marc

Hi Marc
Sorry to hear off your loss I worked for DHL for 18 years and since Airborn bought DHL out all of the DHL employees are long gone. Do not have any more contacts as I not there anymore either What I can tell you that no way was you box open for inspection. They do not have the time to mess around with things like that I am sure that one of the boxes got ripped open down at the airport and it was then seen what it was .I am 100% sure that it is long gone by now There is so much theft down at the Ramp . it has and always be out of control One night I got in to an argument with one of the pilots. There was an engine block on a pallet and the pilot did not what to wait 5 min for a folk lift so he got pissed and just pushed it off the plane .remember it ‘s about 40 feet high form the cargo door use your imagination of what happen to the engine It broke in to pieces. The Air cargo business is really ruff I have found good experience believe it or not With greyhound Ups is the worst don’t give a sh—about your package DHL silent owners are the bin Laden group Fed X used to be ok but not any more My son has a friend that works for Fed X at night and at the end of the night what does not get sorted and pack in containers they just push the rest in to dumpsters His supervisor told him it was more cost effective to just put in a claim then use more hours to finish the sort The only problem with greyhound is they do not deliver to your door . You have to go to them to pick it up |

I had an order of XT's a long time ago go FedEx, 5 seperate boxes, received 4 and they said they delivered the 5th to a wrong address and thg receipnet didn't want to give it back, can you beleive that BS.? Seller ended up reimbursuing me, but I lost the 5th of a matched set. You truly roll the dice with some of these shipping companies, Greyhound ain't half bad had some big stuff go through them, made it fine every time

"My son has a friend that works for Fed X at night and at the end of the night what does not get sorted and pack in containers they just push the rest in to dumpsters
His supervisor told him it was more cost effective to just put in a claim then use more hours to finish the sort" I have worked at FedEx as a temp on and off for a few years now, and find this VERY hard to believe. I have NEVER seen anything like this before, and given the way the sort is ran, it would not fly. They hold everyone accountable for everything, and "Tossing" packages in the dumpster is not even an option. All of the Managers and others involved would be gone if it happened even once. Your connection may work at FedEx Ground, which is a separate operation from Express, and even in that case I would find it very hard to beleive this takes place. Even if a few packages end up missing in one laocation, it raises a big red flag, so if many were getting tossed in the dumpster on a regular basis, something would be done in a hurry to find out what was going on. ![]() |
