I having a bit of a delema with a tach I sold months back. I would like some feedback as to what I should do in this situation. I sold a very nice SW tach on ebay in mid-June. I did not hear anything from the buyer until just the other day. He said he sent the tach to a tach repair shop to be tested and was told it was no good. Apparentl he sent the tach directly to this shop when he received it but they did not get around to testing it until now. I had the sender for the tach and tested it before I sold it. The tach worked well. The buyer claims he has 3 good senders but could not test the car himself because he has no cars with points to test it. Now, over 2 months later he wants me to pay for the repair of the tach. I think it is too late for a UPS claim. I do not want to take the tach back as it was working when I sold it. Something seems very fishy to me. I think he either tried to use it with no sender, dropped it, had a surge in the system with no fuse, etc. I would like to do the right thing but feel like I am being taken advantage of. What should I do in this situation?
Any input is greatly appreciated,
Jason
