Default Why NOS parts are NOS

Just got in from installing an NOS manual antenna on my 64 Belair..the original was removed . Finally fished the damn cable thru the cowl..(PITA) assembled it all and went to put the top not onto the base...and it wouldn't thread on...brand new flawless antenna...I took the nut off and guess what...it was never threaded . Probably why it made it to some pile of new parts somewhere. Anyone got a crappy old antenna nut for a 64 Chev laying around !!

Don't mess with old farts - age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.
