Here is another ZL-1 engine. The seller says the block has never been assembled.

I recall a post not too long ago stating less than 100 of these engines are around. It seems like month there is another one ebay. The real number seems to be at least several hundred.

Agreed...I should go back through our emails and log the ones regarding ZL1 engines/blocks...I would safely say we get 3/month...

-------Im no ZL1 expert or even close, so can someone out there tell me what that intake is??? How about the water-neck??? I dont think I have ever seen ones quite like these. I can say that neither of the ZL1 Corvettes have intakes anything like this and the ZL1 Camaros I have had the pleasure of looking at didnt either..........Bill S

I believe it's a marine unit, which would explain the funky water neck...

That certainly is a marine intake manifold by the brass water jacket and spreadbore carb bolt pattern.

By chance, I watched that auction end today. From $16,500 to $25,000 in about 4 seconds. I wish my checkbook could perform that trick.
