I thought I would share my good fortune and encourage others. I just got home with Yenko Chevelle #408293 (Marv Minneman Youngstown, Ohio)Hugger Orange Auto. acquired from owner since 1979 not far from my home, just 30 miles north of Pittsburgh. I followed up on a remote lead I worked on over 14 years ago when I first finished my Butternut Yellow car. The lead went stone dead long ago but I always sensed this car did exist because I had just enough info that made it sound real. I never forgot it, just didn't know what else to do to find this elusive car. My interest heightened when I had my two Yenkos at the GM Carlisle show and a fellow from the Pittsburgh area asked me all about my Chevelle and inquired about me doing some restoration work on a friends ORANGE SYC CHEVELLE parked long ago. And so I started over and with nothing more than trying a different spelling of the name I had 14 years ago, I was talking to the 26 year owner of this spectacular car. Awesome 90% original paint, mint interior, 26,000 miles, 1977 Pennsylvania registration and inspection sticker. KQ rear, CX trans, replaced block but right heads and most other componentry. Motor & Trans out of car but that's it. Overall killer car and an easy deal to purchase from a super nice guy. I will try to post pictures later as I know you will be asking. Keep up the hunt !!!!!
