Default Any Value for odd muscle car?

A neighbor has a one owner rust free 67 Impala Station Wagon with factory original 396, tach, and air. I think he wants about $8000 for it. Is it worth that much?

Doesn't seem too unreasonable...not sure if I would classify it a muscle car though!

I guess you are right, it isn't much of a muscle car. Maybe it could tow a 67 Camaro to car shows or be a parts hauler for the swap meets!

Put an SS hood on it, buckets, consonle, emblems, and make a cool car that never was.

Thats sounds pretty Good, without seeing it in person.
Find out how many miles, and what has it been used for...towing?
There was a Mist Green 1970 Kingswood Estate (wood panel sides) Station Wagon at Last Novembers VetteFest in Chicago.Displayed in the Cars For sale area,he was asking 13,500.00.If he went to 10K I may have bought it and driven it home right then..It was almost flawless with BB engine and Dual Tailgate door, paper work etc.
I always enjoy the Station Wagons coming from a family that vacationed regularly in them 34 years ago.

That's not always so.
I was at the Portland swap meet in '99 & saw a '70 Chevelle wagon. Cowl Induction Big Block, Buckets, Console, 4 Speed,Disk Brakes, SS Trim with the Magnum 500 Style SS wheels. Silver w/Black Stripes & Black Interior.
As Ordered, Rare awsome car.
Went for 13K & was a little rough.
Never say Never!

I will..Never did Chevrolet produce a 1970 Super Sport Station Wagon off of the assembly line.I have a seen people make them, but never any factory docs or paper to substaniate it.It was a Planned possibility in 1968,but Chevy scraped it before it became close to a reality.
I know Chuck Hanson from ACES built an Astro Blue 70 SS station Wagon Mock up.He built it with SS components how he felt it should have been done if it was a possibility. I think I know the Wagon you Speak of,and it was built by an owner who knows Chuck H. and wanted to mirror what he did.

I guess that's possible but it looked like one of Charlies new/old cars, like it had been sitting around a long, long while.

I didn't look for #'s mathing at the time but it looked like a factory deal to me, and being sold as such. Who would pay that money for a patched together wagon?
Who knows, if I see another I'll do more checking!

Rick,

I looked closely at that car, too. You're right, it was pretty neat, even though full size 70 cars are not my favorites.
