It is an overdrive unit that mounts behind the transmission. Its original use was in RV's, but is much better known as an option on Motion built cars. The earliest I recall its use was in a Motion car is 1969. It provides a 30% reduction in final drive ratio.

It is a self-contained, fully lubricated 2-speed synchromesh, planetary, 30 percent reduction overdrive transmission. Mounts directly behind the transmission. 4-speeds and automatics. It was designed to handle cars up to 600HP. Was used by Hi Performanc shops in the 60s & 70s. Mr Rusden in his all original 1969 Motion Phase lll Corvette 4 speed tansmission at SCR6 - Gateway international raceway drag strip, ran a 11sec orso with the use of his original Motion installed Hone-o-Drive. and can still cruise at 120 mph and top speed would be 160mph. So far all that I found for service of these units are the seals. Does anybody know of any source for rebuild parts?
