Default Vintage Camaro Certification

Vintage Camaro certification is a judging program which focuses on un-restored (survivor) Camaros. Our program started five years ago, and believe it is the only one that recognizes and promotes survivor Camaros. Certifications are held annually at the Camaro Nationals @ Carlisle sponsored by American Camaro Association and held in conjunction with the All GM Nationals. We offer four levels of certification, based on the originality of the Camaro. Last year we were fortunate enough to to certify a couple of board members cars, a 14k mile RS COPO Steve Sandlin's and 18k mile Z28, Ken Pascoe's (both outstanding cars)and some others. This coming year we have one slot available possibly two. If you are interested and think your car qualifies, or want to know more about our program email me at [email protected] It is truly amazing the jewels of information that can be learned from these benchmark cars. BTW the overall show is a great experience with over 500 Camaros participating last year.

Hey Steve...I didn't get a chance to thank you for judging my RS COPO and it's recognition by Vintage Camaro to the "Legend" level. So, here goes...THANKS

I have a couple questions about the judging sheet you copied me, so I'll call ya some time. In fact, some of the demerit comments looked like Kenny Pascoe's penmanship...I shoulda known ...LOL.

Seriously tho, the old-original car owners sure appreciate the effort your group puts into the judging/grading of these rare cars.

Thanks Steve... It was a pleasure judging your car. You should have seen the the crowd around your car when it was on the lift. The Legend judges (concourse), Brian H., Joe S., Larry C., wouldn't leave us alone. These cars provide the standards by which the restored cars are judged. A big thanks should go to Brett Merryman who had the vision and energy to get the program started and stick with it.

I am working on Charley (clill) now, we need to get his 67 Pace Car judged this year (the original track car).

I know where he hides the keys... Getting past the patrol dogs is the only problem.

Charlie . . . Sorry but when I was 18 I got a summar job at Dan Young Chevy in Indy and I remember seeing your Pace Car and I asked Dan if he wanted me to give it a good clean up. He said great and handed me some rags and some paint thinner and said go ahead and get all those paint marks off under the hood and put it on a rack and undercoat it and get those "B,P,T" marks off the firewall as well. Put some of these new Bowtie bolts everwhere you see a chance to put them. Dress it up for me . . .
