Default 2002 ZL1 Supercar #69

Does anyone know the owners of the 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 "Grumpy's Toy" Camaros. Mike Carnahan, who owns the #69 2002 ZL1 Supercar Camaro is looking for the owners to share info with, and possible find a new owner for the car. It made 585 rwhp (that's about 690HP to the flywheel) last week on a chassis dyno, and still waiting on the larger throttle body to go with the solid roller setup, and custom Wilson Intake Manifold. It is in Year Ones showroom next to Milt Robsons Hugger Orange 1969 ZL1 if anyone is close by and wants to see them. We might bring it to the Vette Fest this weekend if we can find a spot in the show for it. We told Grumpy at the US Nationals in Indy that we were going to bring the car to the York US 30 car show next year and would like to let him make a few passes in it. He got excited about that. Send me a personal email if you don't want to post names or web sites. Thanks for your help.

Charlie, can you post a few pictures of the car since I can't figure out how to post them.

I think this is the car Matt's referring to. Being a Grumpy Tribute car, it's gotta be White!

Matt, at last report, the '68 Camaro was in KC, residing with the person who bought it from Grumpy. The person who I got my '69 Yenko Nova from showed me pictures of it. It had just recently been restored. Neat car to say the least. After the car left Grumpy, one year the Kimball brothers earned more money with that car then any other racecar in the US, including the funnys and top fuel cars. One of the brothers was killed at a race, I think he was hit by a car, either staging or in the pits, and may have been in my neck of the woods. Ray Morrison would know the whole story, as he raced at many of the same tracks and events as they did.

Thanks Tom . . . I'll ask Ray Morrison. I'll see you and everyone else going to the Vette Fest in two days. I talked to Al in Chicago today and told him that I was going to bring my Funny Car and he said that would be great . . . We could line both funny car's up and let them make a pass down the center isle.

I thought the Kimble Bro had Grumpy's old 67 Super Stock Camaro? or did they have 67 and 68. The 67 was shown at Carlisle when Da Grump was there.

Matt, next door, in the South area, contains 850,000 SQ FT. Al said a person could fly a small untralight in there. Sounds like the place to me.
