I have a 68 Nova with front fender emblems that say SS 396 with the ss above the 396.
These are located just in front of the front marker light in the marker light bezel.Every other picture of these emblems I've seen shows just 396 in front of the marker light. Is this something somebody put on at home or has any body else seen these? |

The emblems you have are real GM. I think they were only used on early '68 cars. Can anyone back me up on this?...BKH

For the 68 Chevy II Nova SS 396 car the first design for the ID #"s were tape.Later the 396 was raise chrome #'s.The 396 badges that are tape with the SS above the 396 is correct for a 68 Chevelle. One of my 68 Nova ss 396 cars have the 396 tape ID's without the ss above it and I am the 3rd owner of this car,36000 original miles.
