Default Non Chevy Supercars

What non Chevy musclecars do you consider to be Supercars? Would any Hemi car count? How about Royal Bobcat? Is a Shelby Mustang a Supercar? Super stock AMX? The Twister Fords?

I think as far as Hemi cars that I would include the Hurst Modified '68 Dart/Barracuda's..and some of the Grand Spaulding 'tuners'. Royal Bobcat - Pontiac, Markowitz(sp?)- Olds, the Shelby's/Boss 429's/Saleen/Roush, Hurst Modded SS AMX's and others that improved performance after rolling out the factories doors would qualify IMHO.

Any Hemi Dart, Daytona, Charger, Super Bee, Coronet, Challenger.
Any Hemi Plymouth Superbird, GTX, Road Runner, 'Cuda, Satellite, etc.
Any Boss 429 Mustangs, any Shelby cars, etc.

BTW, check out the 1964 427 "Hemi" Ford Thunderbolt in this month's issue of Muscle Car Review. Great mag. Has a 1968 Dick Harrell Chevelle SS 427 on the cover! Dan

I AM NOT A "MOPAR MAN" BUT I HAVE TO SHOW YOU GUYS WHAT I FOUND 3 BLOCKS FROM MY NEW HOUSE. I SEEN IT ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK ONE DAY LAST WEEK. IT IS A 1963 DODGE 300 WITH A 426 MAX WEDGE ENGINE, A FULL ALUMINUM FRONT END WITH HOOD SCOOP, AND 401 MILES. IT WAS BOUGHT NEW IN CHICAGO. IT IS A 2 OWNER CAR. I HAVE CONTACTED THE ORIGINAL OWNER WHO IS FROM MONMOUTH,IL. AND HE IS EAGER TO HELP ME WITH PICS, ETC. THE GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM HAS OWNED IT SINCE 1966. IT WAS RACED AT CORDOVA DRAGWAY IN ILLINOIS FROM 1963 TILL 1979. THE CAR WAS THEN PUT IN STORAGE UNTIL A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. THE OWNER TOOK PRECAUTIONS BEFORE HE RESTORED IT. HE TOOK THE FRONT END, MOTOR, AND TRANNY IN THE BASEMENT OF HIS HOUSE IN FEAR THAT IT WOULD BE STOLEN! THE ORIGINAL MOTOR AND TRANNY WERE PUT IN A TRACTOR FOR TRACTOR-PULLS. MARLIN, YOU ARE RIGHT, THERE IS GOOD CORN IN IOWA!!!

Man that is one cool Mopar! That car needs to be restored to its former glory. The history on the car sounds great. Good Luck..........RatPack...............
