Default worth saving original tires to 69L78

I got to the point of wondering why I keep 3 worn out firestone wide oval F60 14 tires that came with my 69 L78 camaro. I bought the car from the original owner and he told me those were the original tires. Why they survived for a long time was because he put H60 15 on corvette ralleys on day2 in back and then alternated use of the 14" ones that were in back to the front over the years.

Is there any value to keeping these to prove anything of how the car was built? white letter vs redline or something like that? judging maybe?

Yes. Concours restored cars get originality points. Quite sure someone will want them, but you’ll need to post quality photos.

Thanks, they are pretty worn out, and I also thought they don't judge for tire dates anymore.
I have used them over the years to keep kyacks off the ground.

I have the OG Goodyear PolyGlas's that were still on my 32,000 mile 70 Z28 when i bought it ,stored in my basement . While they are still in Good shape, Tread and outer sidewall look great but the inner sidewalls are very dry rotted. I know they will never go back on my car while I own it since I do drive it . But if I ever decide to sell it ? I thought it would be cool to say I still have the original tires for the next owner...

We have struggled with keeping oem tires as well...for a purist they may have value for the pedigree of the car. Now...you say they are F60x14...pretty sure the Camaro came with F70 x 14..??? So, I'm not sure they were oem...

I agree there is always a use for original tires.

But..... F60 14 is not the original size on any 69 Camaro. F70 14 was available. E70 15 on Z/28 and Sport Car Conversion COPO.

sorry guys, I got screwed up.

These camaro tires are F70 14s. So sorry for that mistake.

My brain has not been straight after taking out the inner wheel well liners on a new GM full size SUV to do rust proofing. NEVER trust these rust proofing places.

Thanks!, I think at this time I will keep them, at a minimum, I could say the car was NOT equipped with the F70 14 REDLINE wide ovals to address the pedigree of the car.

A red stripe tire would have maybe been tempting on a triple black L78 camaro with a red hockey stripe so I have some potential proof to counter that.

Thank you
