Default Is this a Factory Radio Amplifier

Hi SYC,

Hi I’m restoring my 69 RS/Z28 JL-8 Camaro. I found this picture of a previous restoration.
Anyone know anything about this unit?

Absolutely a JC Pennys piece.
And that iconic "P" logo design was only used from 1963 to 1971.
