The owner passed away last year and his family is asking for my help with selling this car. It is a 1965 Corvette roadster 327/350hp, 4-speed that is Burgundy with Black interior. The car was bought back in 1992 and was appraised back then. The appraisal shows that the engine is original to the car but I have not verified the information. It has both the bad soft top and a hardtop, spare and a set of steel wheels with the hubcaps and a whole bunch of spare parts accumulated over the years. The car has scratches and cobwebs from storage and it probably looks better in the current pictures than if you see it in person. Allot of the car looks original but there were some updates done over the years like the brake master cylinder and headers. I thought $49,900 is a fair price but the owner is open a reasonable offer.

I’d recommend posting a good paint free picture of the pad along with good clear pictures of the VIN and trim tags. If those pictures prove to be legitimate, I’m sure the car will generate interest.
The wheels appear to be reproduction Knock Off versions, but you should confirm that as we’re talking at least a $10,000 difference in value. I’m just trying to help, I’m not looking for another Corvette. |

Thank you for the input Tim. The car has a set of steel wheels and hubcaps with it and the tires look to be some what recent so I am going to say that you are right about it having reproduction wheels. I am going to work on getting more pictures of the things you recommended next week when I get some time to look at the car.

Also check to see if any original parts like the master cylinder or exhaust manifolds are still with the car. Those are always enticing to owners that want to return a car to its original condition.
