The Gov throws around the figure of a $Trillion like it's nothing. It is my opinion that no lay person can even fathom how much one trillion dollars really is.
They cranked out three trillion dollars when covid hit. The another $3 trillion a couple years later. Here are two illustrations: If you loaned me one Trillion dollars the day Jesus was born and I started paying it at ONE MILLION DOLLARS A DAY, I would not even be 3/4 of the way there yet today 2025 years later!!!!! Secondly, here is the difference between a million, a billion and a trillion. One million seconds is about 11.5 days. That's right folks, we would get there in 11.5 days. One billion is about 31.5 YEARS!!!!!! Doesn't seem right does it? I mean it is just the next reference up. Here is the kicker. On trillion seconds (not minutes; not days; SECONDS is equal to about 31,688 YEARS! If we don't reel in the spending, our financial system WILL collapse. My guess is it won't happen in my lifetime, simply because we have so much capital in this country. Not sure my kids are going to make it at this rate; but am pretty sure my grandkids are screwed. If the US goes down, we take the whole world with us. It will be worse than the Great Depression. BTW, we are at $36.9 Trillion and fast approaching $37T. If you are a taxpayer, your share is over $323,000. Get out your check book.
