So this is why everybody on the internet can't say 302 without putting DZ in front of it. They said it in number 12 and 13. Most people think that '67 and '68 302s are also DZ engines. Drives me nuts.

Couple things,
The Richard Petty- Talladega pic is very early in 69.
Nascar did not let Ford run the Boss 429 engine early on as not enough Mustangs had been built- sold yet.

Been trying to console "OLE BLUE" as the lowly L78 did not even get honorable mention.
I can see a lot of stuff on the list that would have problems against an L78.

All tounge in cheek and we will not be scrapping "OLE BLUE" anytime soon

Agree on many of the inaccuracies, but a cool list just the same. What really surprised me is, I thought I would know 50% and they would come up with obscure items I didn't know. I recognized all of them and have been around many personally. I guess that makes me an OLD gearhead.. LOL.
Do people call a Boss 302 Mustang a DZ302 also ?? LOL
