Default 1961 Impala SS 4 door

Possibly the best evidence yet that some existed.

If it's a grey four door hardtop, I would be inclined to believe it's true. Sometime between September 1961 and August 1963, (100% dated because of car I was driving) a guy that worked night shift at a local Super Par gas station had one with SS emblems. Don't know if it was real or if he added the emblems. In my reading, it appears 1961 SS option was available with anything with a V-8.
