Clippinger Chevrolet Corvette Club lowball glasses

Hey Gang, I suspect more than a few of us still enjoy a good old fashioned...

Anyway, I recently found (in Covina!) a full set of 8 CLIPPINGER Chevrolet whiskey whisky glasses - or as they're otherwise known as: rocks, lowball, acopa, or a straight up glass.

These are very cool and, I was told, were acquired in 1967 by the original purchaser of a 1967 Corvette from Bob Wingate himself when he joined the WSCC (Western States Corvette Council) which was part of the CCC - National Council of Corvette Clubs, Inc. - which is right on the glasses in gilded lettering. The gold pops and still presents very well on these, there is a tiny bit of thinning on the rims, but not so much that it distracts...

These are sturdy and weigh nicely in your hand and are very satisfying to hold and sip your drink out of... the smoked glass has great eye appeal and frankly, they're awesome, but glasses don't seem to last long in our house... ergo, I'm reluctantly offering them here.

These are as cool as you think they are and were only used sparingly and look as good or better than I can show in photos. Camaro and Corvair too.
