Default '65 GT350 street model brings almost $1m at Kissimmee

Is this a record for street cars (aside from 003)?

Yes it brought incredible money, but it was a stud. Plenty of put together wrecks bringing car bringing 200-400k. Camaros, Chevelles, GTO's, Mustangs, Cudas...

Bill, GT350 5S003, the street car prototype, serial number 3 but actually the first Shelby Mustang assembled.

(Here's a favorite pic of my daughter sitting in it still in vintage racing trim before it got restored by the then-owner. It has been subsequently re-restored and shown at MCACN and other shows by the subsequent owner.)

Have to figure if Colin happened to have a Pinto Cruising Wagon, and it wouldn't surprise Monty Hall if he did, there's unlikely to be a better one out there!
