Default 1965 original Corvette steel wheels 15X5½ set of four

Hi Gang, another rare set of wheels here.

Just removed from a 1965 Corvette Vette getting resto-modded sadly (IMHO only of course) with some sort of aftermarket 17" or 18" rims.

Anyway, they were removed from a very original 65 very recently and cleared the factory disc brakes; I didn't see dates on the inside of the rim, but reviewing these photos looks like they're stamped 66 maybe, I can investigate further if needed; so these are either 65s or 66s / 1966 dates, but definitely Kelsey Hayes JK factory GM wheels - they are not dated by the valve stem, have the two dimples and are stamped on the hoop as shown. No dog dish nubs and even a couple of MICRO wing wheel weights still present!

lug holes very nice, not wallowed out, likely fit 1967 67 67s cars as well of course

Many photos below for the whole picture.

prefer payment via PPG and I will include shipping in the 48 - they will be packed appropriately of course.

Very nice wheels - appear to be original paint too, based on the patina, gloss shade and front vs back coverage.

Dare I say, a great survivor set of 15X5.5 / 15X5½ factory black rims / wheels?!

This is what you want for that significant car IMO!

Review the photos again. Damage, ding, and pit free life long California rims!

Cheers friends,
Anthony

Had a few people ask me to confirm the date stamps... I cleaned one up:

Certainly appears to be dated 66 - 5

So, that's May, 1966 then.

They came off a very original 1965 but who knows what happens in 60 years...

These are 1966 wheels.

BUMP & PM with interest or more questions.

Cheers all,
Anthony
