Default 1968 Camaro Question

Is there anything in the VIN or on the trim tag that will tell if a 68 Camaro is a SS or if it came with a small block or a big block?
Thank you

Just the 3rd digit of the VIN tells you V8 or 6 cyl. Odd is a 6 cyl. Even is an 8 cyl. Nothing on the trim tag...Joe

Thank you. I am checking into this for a friend, It is a customer's car. All I know so far is that the first five numbers are 12437 which is a 8 cylinder coupe.
