This exceptional 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z is a documented one-owner vehicle with only 87 original miles. This is truly an unbelievable car with an unbelievable story that you just can't make up! On February 17, 1986 – Mr. John Gurski of Woodbridge, New Jersey went to Robert's Chevrolet located in Carteret, New Jersey to order his 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z. Robert made the decision this vehicle purchase was going be an investment that he planned on keeping for the long time. With that being said, he ordered the car with a lot of factory options which reflected in a high MSRP of $21,244.00. The factory options include: (81U)- Bright Red exterior color, (AR9)- ARR2 Red leather bucket seat interior, (B2L)- 350ci 5.7L TPI V8, (B48)- deluxe luggage compartment, (C49)- Electric rear window defogger, (UU8)-Delco-Bose system, (ISC)- IROC-Z Option #3, (AM9)- split folding rear seat, (B91)- black door edge guard, (CC1)- glass roof panels with locks, (DE1)- rear window louvers, (D27)- locking rear storage, (G80)- limited slip differential, (J65)- 4-wheel power disc brakes, (KC4)- engine oil cooler, (MX0)- automatic transmission with overdrive and (U75)- power antenna. Upon completion it was shipped to the dealership on April 7th, 1987. Robert took physical delivery on April 20th, 1987. Robert made it very clear to the dealership he didn't want the factory original tags, stickers and plastic over the interior removed. The car immediately went into Robert's garage where it was placed on jack stands and the wheels were removed. Robert kept the properly stored and would start it frequently. Robert also changed the oil throughout the years and replaced the battery. Matter of fact the mileage on the car was accumulated on the jack stands until it reached 87 which is the year of the car. This car didn't leave the garage for 37 years until it was purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in June of 2024. This car presents as new and everything is in excellent working order including the air conditioning which was never converted to R134. The only factory original parts that were changed were the hood and trunk lid pistons which are included with the sale. The car includes a ton of original documentation and items that are listed below. July of 2024 is the first time MS CLASSIC CARS has listed this car for sale. The exterior of this 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z with 87 original miles is truly remarkable because it presents as new. It's the best overall example of any vehicle from the 1980's that's ever been offered from the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection. The entire car appears as if it were stored in a bubble for the last 37 years. The factory original Bright Red paint was tested with an electronic paint meter by MS CLASSIC CARS and passed as 100% original. The paint is virtually flawless and was recently detailed to a show quality finish by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. All of the factory original stamped glass is in excellent condition throughout. It retains the 3 factory original assembly tags on the front windshield. It retains the factory original plastic door guard protectors that were installed to prevent damage in transportation. It retains the factory original white stickers on all four 16” alloy wheels. It retains the factory original green stickers on all four Goodyear Eagle VR50 P245/50/VR16 (Gatorback) tires. The car also retains the factory original optional power antenna, glass roof panels, black door edge guards and rear window louvers. All of rubber seals and gaskets are soft and free of cracking.

The interior of the 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z with 87 original miles is also truly remarkable because it presents as new. It's one thing to have an extremely low mileage 30-40 year old vehicle but it's another to have one that presents as new. Not only does it look new but it still smells new! It retains the factory original plastic on the steering wheel, two front Red leather bucket seats, driver's door panel and carpeting. Matter of fact, the plastic on all the carpeting is still stapled into the carpeting. The headliner is tight with no wrinkling which is commonly found with third generation Camaros. The dash is free of any cracks and panel armrests haven't come unglued from the door panel which is also common with third generation Camaros. It retains the factory original optional Delco-Bose system, spilt rear seat, electric rear window defogger, deluxe luggage compartment and locking rear storage compartment. Everything in the interior cabin is in working order including the air conditioning which has never been tampered with or converted. The original trunk lid struts were replaced as expected and included with the sale.

The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout. There are no signs of oxidation or deterioration. It retains all of the factory original assembly paint marks and stickers. All of the rubber seals and gaskets are soft and free of cracking. The heart of this car is the desirable and factory original optional 350ci 5.7L Tune-Port-Injection V8. 1987 was the first model year this engine was available in the Camaro IROC-Z. This engine was also the most powerful offered in the Camaro IROC-Z. The engine was factory rated with 225hp and only available in the automatic transmission. This engine runs and sounds excellent from the factory original exhaust system. It was started frequently started and driven on the jack stands. The engine oil and filter was also replaced on a regular basis. It retains the factory original optional engine cooler. The engine original cooling system is also in excellent working order. The engine is coupled the factory original automatic transmission with overdrive. It retains the factory original optional limited slip differential. The original battery has been replaced multiple times over the last 37 years as expected. MS CLASSIC CARS added a new AC Delco battery in July of 2024. The original hood struts were also replaced as expected and included with the sale.

The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout. There are no signs of oxidation or deterioration. It retains all the factory original assembly paint marks and stickers. The floors retain the factory original primer over spray which is crisp in appearance. It retains the factory original fuel system which is in excellent working order. The fuel was stored properly with additives and changes regularly. It retains all the factory original steering, suspension and 4-wheel power disc brake components which are in excellent working order.
