Default Al Siferd, Pavilions regular for many years, passed this morning

Al passed peacefully at 2:45am this morning. Al was a great guy, had a wonderful life, with some awesome stories. He was a regular at Pavilions until his health issues forced him to stop.

Al was a great cheerleader for Holly-and followed her very closely on Facebook (when he wasn't able to attend the car show in Scottsdale) as Holly and Al had a few things in common:

1) They both went to Mayo and had some of the same docs
2) They both had kidney transplants (Al actually had two-his first one lasted over 25 years-and his second one was just a few years ago).

Al was an invaluable source of information regarding kidney transplantation for us (along with Jeff Mashishin) and they were always very up front with us with what to expect.

We will miss you Al-you were one of the good ones.

Al's service was on Friday. It was good to see some old friends there. There was also a memorial celebration with food at Manuel's in Glendale yesterday. Everyone had a great time remembering Al-and the sometime hilarious things that he did. As Al's brother in law said...Al didn't have that little voice that said, "Don't so that"...so Al would end up in some pretty funny and sometimes scary situations. Rest in peace my friend...
