Default How does this engine stamp look?

Hi guys, looking for some guidance on this engine stamp. A friend of mine asked me to decode the stamp, which I can do, but the DZ looked a little funky to me. I am very far from being an expert and would love to know what you guys think?

Thanks, Tom

I agree, I'm no expert either but it does look weird....

Never seen a "D" like that on a DZ stamp.

D and Z are a bit close together.

Here is one from the same time period, less than two weeks earlier. Oddly, it is missing one digit from the partial vin.

Even if the D wasn't wacky, the 1's are completely wrong too, as are some other numerals.
