Flat Black SS396 Rear Panel?
Look closely at that rear panel. No shine. Looks flat black to me. |

Chevrolet built about 36,000 67-69 396 Camaros. Maybe each of us has personally seen 100 of them. There are several excellent original paint examples still around with very glossy rear body panels. Also, some with satin rear body panels. Appears either was acceptable.

Have to agree with that statement.
A car hand prepped for a national seen show by the styling Dept,was not really what the assembly line actually spit out for Main St. USA. Many variations were possible. |
