Default 1972 Buick Skylark custom convert 3 on the tree

Selling supposedly a real rare car. It's a 72 Skylark convertible with a 350 engine and a manual 3 spd trans on the column! The guy I got it from said it was 1 of under 30 built but I have no way of telling myself. I've tried to find out some info but have come up empty. Everyone I tell about it says they've never heard of one. Options on all the original paperwork are Ps,pb,factory Air Cond,am-fm radio and a positraction rear. It's a real nice shade of silver mist/Black top and interior. Bought new at Nathan Hale Buick,by a priest for the church up in Connecticut who towed a sailboat with it and that's why he ordered it with the stick and posi.
Real nice looking and driving car. I put Correct rally wheels and Original G78-14 double whitewalls on it. Looks real period.Original interior is like New and everything works. Asking 18,500 for it.

sounds interesting. How many miles are on it? How's the rust issue? Looking forward to seeing some pics :-)

135,000 miles are on it. Motor has never been out, valvetrain is quiet and it does not smoke at all. Interior is all original.Rust was not too bad, left quarter has a small lower patch put on it and the bright fender has a lower patch put on. Floors and trunk pan are good and originals. Had 1 repaint done along time ago and wasn't that nice so I just had it repainted in its correct color done with RM base/clear and the color is dead on. It's a very nice driver with its matching drive train. I'm having trouble getting pics on here but I put it on craigslist last night too and there's some good pics on there.

Donnie, I own a '72 GS455 Convertible, and all '72s are pretty rare as the musclecar was hugely out of favor by then. My GS455 Convertible withTH400 is 1 of 126...I can only guess how many 3 on the tree convertibles were made, period. I'm not sure the towing story makes much sense, but perhaps the good father just liked changing the gears on his own. Neat car and GLWS!

A convertible with factory air, am-fm, posi, and 3 on the tree???? I'd bet it's a one of one.
