Who knows where this 69 Yenko Chevelle ended up??
O.K. guys...here's the deal. I was on the chevelle.com site asking the same question...I was redirected here cuz you know all about yenko stuff. Here is what I posted there:
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">So they made like 99 of the 1969 Yenko's...and I've learned via this site that only 35 ish of them still exist. I know of a couple guys who knew the original owner of a dark blue (dusk?) yenko 4 speed car that he bought at grossman chev in MN in 69. It was driven out in rural MN most of the time but did run back to the twin cities also. The owner passed away at a younger age ( I know his name) and the car sat at the parents farm until they passed and the was taken to a relative about an hour away. I was told that about 2 years ago another person ( I know of him) (thru mutual friends) that he managed to look at the car. The car, of course, had rust in the rear quarters...but not real bad..BUT had damage on one of the rear quarters. Anyway...this guy went back a year later just to see if it could be bought....but it was gone...and rumored to have gone to Texas! Just really curious if anyone knows of the car and if someone has brought it back to glory! Let's hear what you may know! </div></div> I am in no way trying to get to personal about who owns it now...just really curious what finally has happened to it after being a "farm find"! Out of respect, i am not posting people's name on here but I do know people that new the owner and the car...but I haven't talked directly to them..just friends of those people and guys that remember the car....I work with a guy that is familiar with chevelle's...and he doesn't remember it as lemans blue...he thought it was darker! Most of the people I am talking about surely would chat about what they know from someone who is an expert on these beauties! That...I am not! Can't wait to hear from some of you! |

Re: Who knows where this 69 Yenko Chevelle ended up??
Nope. Different car. The above Chevelle is well known and was restored many years ago.
