Default Talk to the New Carlisle Event Manager

Hello All,

I’d like to take a minute to introduce myself and hopefully clarify my plans for the 2013 GM Nationals. My name is Tyler Staley, and I am the new GM event manager here at Carlisle. Also, I wanted to apologize for any confusion. Having started in October, it has been a fast-paced process trying to get the GM show in order. In my efforts to get all my ducks in a row, I neglected to thoroughly talk to Brian Henderson about the Solid Lifter Showroom. I was not very aware of the extreme enthusiasm this crowd has for the display, and after talking to Brian, I decided an every-other-year approach would not be the best thing for the display.

For 2013 my focus will be on the Buick brand, and Brian has agreed to help me bring in more Buicks for the display this year. We are going to re-name the display the "High-Performance Showroom." We will be trying to bring in a few special cars related to the celebration car for the GM show, but will still welcome the types of cars we've featured in the past. We'll be trying to find some great GSXs, Stage 1 cars, and the like. 2014 will be a Pontiac-focused year (50 years of the GTO), so we'll be looking for hi-po Pontiacs, as well as the hi-po cars from '69. I made this account in an attempt to keep communication open with all of our high-performance enthusiasts - please feel free to message me or email me with any questions. I look very forward to meeting all of you in June, and I am glad to see many of you are excited about this new approach. I also greatly appreciate the support and understanding of Brian as we work together towards another display at the GM Nationals. Fire away with any questions!
