Norwood Gathering
The 1st Norwood Gathering was held this past Wednesday in Cincinnati This was a Very Exclusive Invite only event put together by Phil Borris. Only eleven Norwood built cars invited to be in attendance. My friend Brian and I were lucky enough to get invited to this event. Along with the eleven cars and their owners former Norwood plant employees were invited to attend. There was a question and answer session as well as just a lot of conversation between the car owners and the former workers. The rain kept the numbers down but It was a great day anyway. I personally really got a kick out of watching these former workers look over the cars that they had built some 40 years earlier. A big thanks goes out to Phil Borris for this GREAT event.
RAIN My car front and center The rain kept the NICE cars in the trailers Some of use don't have those nice trailers The Rain stopped for a few hours and allowed the BIG BOYS to roll out their NORWOOD built cars. You are looking at some MAJOR coin here with the cars including a 69 ZL-1 Camaro and several COPO cars This 70 Z was my favorite other than the Blue Trans Am Here is a link to more pictures http://www.dinograz.com/miscpics/201...11norwood.html

Re: Norwood Gathering
My hat is off to the participants that made the trip towing trailers or driving really nice original cars to the exhibition all in spite of the weather conditions.
The 1952 Skyline deluxe was original paint, as was the 1978 Z28 burning its original powerbeam headlights in the early morning with the owner driving the car two hours. Several people used open trailers as well-and the 1964 SS Nova was fresh out of the National Corvette Museum display with the owner driving the car to this event in the rain. All the cars at the shelter area were simply exceptional. |
